I love dogs and jeans and hammocks. I love taking pictures, hazelnut hot chocolate and trampolines. I love pushing myself to the max, pink lace and steaks. I love Christmas music and seeing my breath when it's cold at night. I love flowers and jogging in the rain. I can't blow up balloons to save my life and carving pumpkins proves to be highly entertaining. I love being surprised and learning new things and chocolate mousse. I have 'secret loves' and a million pillows. I love curling up in front of a fire, making s'mores, and cooking. Leather smells good and my feet are always cold. I have a wonderful life that I wouldn't trade for anything!

| Well, so it's been a while. Long enough for me to not really remember anything exciting that has gone on over the last few weeks. Hmm... lets see:
*Got my job and started work (I like it a lot but unfortunately don't work that often due to B&BW a million employees and their persistance that they want their employees to be "fresh" therefore we only have 3-4 hour shifts... )
*I finished my first sculpting project and it looks pretty good. (a very exciting endeavor for me since I HATE that class and thought I was doing horribly... it actually does look like a skull so I am happy)
*I went home and completely surprised my family by going down to Wilmington to our church's annual "Reformation Day" party and took Andrea and Jenna with me: 3 1/2 hour trip there, 2 hours at party and 3 1/2 hours back the same night... it was completey random and last minute and exciting and exhausting but making my mama cry and seeing my little sister's face made it all worthwile and yes, I would/and probably will do it again... I love surprising people I care about by doing little things like that! ...guess I'm just silly like that
*I took Charity and Jenna 'trick-or-treating' Halloween night in their neighborhood which was fun since I haven't done that since I was little... it was freezing but the girls were both beautiful and had fun
*I as usual have been a diligent student and done all my school, and also signed up for my spring classes so I am eagerly anticipating next semester... Oh how I long for it to be Thanksgiving break because after that I have one week of school left before Christmas break!!! then no school all month! (oh man won't I be bored ;)
*I watched R and Greg taxidermy their coyote and make their "beasty cage" which does in fact look amazing, and I was very impressed... and it works!!! So YAY for them- and too bad for the poor coyote that gets trapped in there... as long as I get to see it then I will be happy (lol) Oh and I got them a baby falcon to mount and it's really pretty
AND THE BEST NEWS OF ALL!!! : MY long dreaded, life or death, absolutely crucial, horrific art history exam is over with and I feel really good about it! (I studyied SO hard for this exam... you have no clue... *sigh*) So I am now eagerly awaiting the results
And that's about it. Very boring and I know there is something I am missing but I can't think of it right now... The weather here has been absolutely gorgeous and for the first time in forever, I was able to see all the leaves change bright colors then fall of the trees. Very exciting!

| I really hate it when you can't fall asleep... and tonight seems to be one of those nights- so here I am at 2:14 am posting. I have been actually pretty occupied the last few weeks. School picked up due to midterms and it feels a little more like college. Nothing too exciting has happened lately other than the normal day to day involvement with the van Eyks. Never a dull moment there. Surprisingly I have managed to stay out of any "car trouble" and haven't had to be rescued in quite some time. The weather here is absolutely beautiful and the leaves and trees are so colorful. We don't get much color variation in Wilmington so I enjoy seeing all the different colors the leaves here turn. In the meantime I decided half-heartedly to go get a job (1: because Re and Greg would not stop hassleing me 2: extra money is good and 3: it could prove to be fun/entertaining.) So I applied at Bath and Body Works down the street and they interviewed me then called me with an offer.... so I begin Wednesday and we shall see what new adventures I have. Last night we went to see Employee of the Month and although I don't remember all of it, what I do remember was good. Cute movie. Church today went well as we had a guest pastor. Cooked dinner with Andrea then spent a while trying to stop my love from going across the electric fence- didn't work too well for a while. We gotta work on that. Got really dirty, came home and relaxed. And now, amazingly enough it's 2:29 am and I am still awake. Oh goodness. Enjoy your night- sweet dreams | | |
| Wow... it's been a while.
Ok so, I have been actually pretty occupied this past few weeks. School has picked up (a teeny tiny bit) which is good. I have had exams for the past two weeks, and one not so fun essay to write. Needless to say, I am enjoying it. The weather has been phenominal here. It is cool and "autumney" and the leaves are beginning to change colors! YAY! I love this season! Well, last night I co-coached my first practice. It was so much fun! It was raining too, which of course added to the excitement. I think when you are out in the rain, it just automatically boosts your energy and mood. No more car problems thus far (thank the Lord!) I got to go out to Re and Greg's farm last night, so that was exciting, I was happy! And... well other then school and helping Mrs. van Eyk out (aka finding ways to make myself useful) I haven't really been up to anything exciting. I am leaving here in a little while to go down to Raleigh for the weekend to babysit my little cousins while my aunt and uncle are in Chicago. Then Sunday afternoon I am driving down to Wilmington to see my family and spend a short time with them until class starts again on Wednesday. Big exam on Thursday... the type that I will probably get a 23- on (lol) and other exams the following week. So, yes it is weird to think that this semester is already more than half over. Oooh and I got to carve my pumpkin!!! I carved out the insides and drew a tropical beach scene (yes I know, silly me) and Re carved it for me. (poor thing, cause I apparently made some.. well a lot of the lines too small and very close together, but he amazingly did it and it looked really good!) ... the bad news is that these last 2 days have been warmer so the heat has warped it and so I am just going to have to do it again the week before halloween. Anyways- for everyone who has fall break, have a GREAT one.
| *ADDED TUES NIGHT LATE* I need a gun. A big one. Yep I cannot take that ole owl hooting outside my window at night any ANY more!!! It is annoying and scary and the only way to end it is to get rid of that creature. I am not kidding either. Listening to an owl hoot every 30 seconds gets really old really fast and spooks you out. Sheesh! (lol)
... Ok so I have some great news!!! I just found out that I am going to "co-coach" a soccer team this season [even though it has already started.] Yep that's right. I got the phone numbers for the soccer associations that Jenna and Charity are in (KSA; Kernersville Soccer Association and Stokesdale Soccer Association) so I called the head supervisors for both leagues and left them messages telling them that I was interested in getting involved in these organizations... etc etc... well... they both called me back and gave me this great news!!! Charity's soccer league (Stokesdale) wants me to co coach a 9-10 yr old team which means I get to hold and lead practices etc.. starting Thursday evening! And Jenna's soccer league (KSA) has already signed me as 'head coach' for the spring 13-18yr old all girls team starting in January!!! Yes, head coach of my own team of all older girls!!! How cool is that!?! I have coached before so I am not going into this clueless (for those of you that don't know all those details) and I have played many years and well... oh YAY!!! I am so SO thrilled! So beginning Thursday I will be a coach. This is also good cause it gives me something to do besides sit around moping due to lack of [things to do.] But- that's the news
